As a people strategist, I believe that every issue is a people issue. And when we foster the space, understanding, and appreciation for our people to own their natural strengths and innate qualities, we create working environments that are more fulfilling and equitable for all.

This is important for everyone - but especially for women leaders. From an early age, we tell girls which traits will help them succeed, and that leaders can only look and act in a certain way. In the end, working women often lose sight of who they truly are, or burn out from trying to change. 

This is what I am working to change. After a long career earning my way into new environments, learning to adapt and succeed by burying my true self, I found that I lost sight of my own strengths and ambitions.

From finance to consulting, and then building a career in Human Resources across several startups, I often shied away from leadership roles because I had come to believe I didn’t look, sound, or behave like a leader. I can see now that my ability to adapt helped me survive and move forward, but over time, masking my natural tendencies became painful - and it stunted my progress. 

Eventually, I came to appreciate that I am a different type of leader - and that the world needs leaders of all kinds. 

I made it my mission to help other executive women reclaim their own strengths so they can be more confident and effective as they move toward what they want. 

Because when authentic, self-aware women take the lead, they foster a more equitable and fulfilling professional environment for all.
